retaThe Arkansas Republican Party began hosting the “Hi, I’m Frank White” Awards Dinner in 2006 to honor persons who have done the most to build the Arkansas Republican Party. We congratulate our own Reta Hamilton on being the most recent recipient of this award. It is well deserved!

Frank White (1933–2003) was the 41st Governor of Arkansas. He served from 1981-83. He is one of two people to have defeated Bill Clinton in an election, the other being former US Representative John Paul Hammerschmidt. Gov. White was known for his booming voice, loud laugh, and the memorable way he always introduced himself.
